A blossoming program offered through Camarillo and Oxnard Recreation features a beginning level belly dance class that is approppriate for all ages and fitness levels. A second class is being introduced for more serious students who wish to further challenge themselves and/or perform with community based student dance troup "Aphrodite's Daughter." The 'daughters' who come from all over Southern California, come together to perform at community events, and for charity organizations. Emphasis is placed on development of strength of body and character, self acceptance, comraderie, and community. Every one is welcome, and sponsorship is available for students who demonstrate dedication and financial need. There presently are 3 classes from 5:00-8:30 in Camarillo and Oxnard. |
