Public Boating Course scheduled at Ventura Harbor The United States Power Squadron in conjunction with the Ventura Power Squadron is offering a 10 week Safe Boating Class. Registration for the next Safe Boating Class will be February 16th at the Ventura Yacht Club, 1755 Spinnaker drive at 7 P.M. The class meets from 7:30 till 9:30 P.M. for ten weeks. Instructors will provide an introduction to safe boating, boat types and handling, charting and navigation, Coast Guard and state regulations, use of marine radio, weather and other maritime topics. The cost of the textbook and plotting materials is $60,00; no pre – registration is required. A certificate of completion will be provided to all those who finish the course.
