Gold Coast Transit (GCT) is proposing a fare increase to be implemented in two phases for its bus and paratransit services. A public meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Board Meeting Room at Gold Coast Transit, 301 E. Third Street (corner of Third Street and Garfield Avenue), Oxnard, California 93030-6048. The purpose of the public meeting is to provide public information on the two phases of the proposed fare increase and receive public input. The first phase would be effective on January 24, 2010, and the second phase would be effective on July 1, 2011. The public input obtained at this meeting will be considered by the GCT Board of Directors before it takes official action on the proposed fare increase at its regular monthly meeting on December 2, 2009. At the Board meeting, GCT will again provide an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to comment on the proposed fare increase.
