MUSEUM OF VENTURA COUNTY Feb. 24 to May 27. “Hilos de la Vida/Threads of Life, Music Before Columbus: The Collection of Luis Perez” and “The White Instruments: Recent Creations by Luis Perez.” Ventura-based musician and archaeomusicologist Luis Perez lends the museum his collection of pre-Columbian musical instruments and ritual objects from Mesoamerica as well as modern wind and percussion instruments he sculpted which he uses to compose and record music. Reception is Friday, Feb. 24, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. featuring musical entertainment by Grupo Amor y Paz. $5. 100 E. Main St.
