RUSTED ROOT Credited by many as the harbingers of jam music — pre-String Cheese Incident, pre-Dave Matthews Band — Rusted Root made a big impact in the mid-1990s with the hit “Send Me On My Way,” and then sort of faded into the ether, taking only their cult following via sonic rapture. Touring in support of their first record in seven years, Stereo Rodeo, Rusted Root brings a subtle spiritual component to its live shows, something that has undoubtedly, as with U2, kept fans hungry for more. Opening the show is Crowfield with its bluesy, Southern rock reminiscent of the Black Crowes. Thursday, Nov.5 at the Canyon, 28912 Roadside Dr., Agoura Hills. 583-8700, www.canyonclub.net.
Wednesday, Nov. 11 Keller Williams performs at the Ventura Theater.
Wednesday’s rawk at the Dirty Vinyl with DJ Missy and DJ Dr. Nick.
Listen to the nostaligic sounds of Mark Tortoricci & the Hollywood Combo at Yolie’s in Ventura, on Friday, Nov. 6.
