DAVE GLEASON AND THE GOLDEN CADILLACS
For a musician that spends so much of his life on the road, it seems only fitting that when Dave Gleason returns to Ventura this weekend he will be doing so in style. Backing Gleason as he takes to the stage at Yolie’s for this all-too-rare hometown rollick will be his Northern California touring partners The Golden Cadillacs. Since they graced audiences at several of Gleason’s Sacramento shows, Dave Gleason and The Golden Cadillacs have been branding their unique blend of infectious honky-tonk, soul-searching country, and good old-fashioned rock ’n’ roll within bar-rooms all points north for several years. But this weekend they are revving up for a run of Southern Californian dates. And, rest assured, they will cruise into town with a sound as elegant and dynamic as their marquee so aptly suggests. Friday, March 12, 9 p.m. at Yolie’s, 138 W. Main St., Ventura. 652-0338 or www.myspace.com/davegleasonmusic.
Shenanigans will perform on Saturday, March 13, 11 a.m. at Bombay Bar & Grill and at The Beachcomber Tavern in Oxnard at 9 p.m.

Young Dubliners with Shades of Day at the Lodge on Friday, March 12. All-ages.

Rock City Studios presents I am Empire, Sound The Sky, Reluctant Hero, The Outlook and Camarillo Social Club at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 7 p.m. All-ages.
