AN EVENING WITH LUTHER GERLACH Tuesday, March 27, 6 p.m.
Focus on the Masters presents an evening with the photographer who uses archaic equipment to create his eerie images. Gerlach spent a year building his own “golden ratio” 22-inch-by-30-inch camera that is the largest wet-plate camera being used today. His work is found in many private and public collections, including that of President and Mrs. Barack Obama. He has lectured and given demonstrations at The Getty, Santa Barbara Natural History Museum, Museum of Ventura County and other institutions. His photographs have appeared in numerous prestigious publications. General admission $10, seniors $5.
