SIMI VALLEY CAJUN AND BLUES MUSIC FESTIVAL Saturday, May 26, and Sunday, May 27, 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m. The annual event hosted by the the Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise benefits both Cajun heritage and the people of Simi Valley and surrounding areas. The festival currently presents live Cajun, Creole, zydeco and blues entertainment on multiple stages, offers more than 150 food, beverage, craft and sponsor booths, and attracts approximately 15,000 attendees. Featured artists will be the Fabulous Thunderbirds (pictured), Muddy Waters Tribute Band, The Mannish Boys, Delta Groove All-Star Blues Revue and many more. ELMO MAKES MUSIC Thursday, May 24 through Sunday, May 27. Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Big Bird and all their Sesame Street friends are taking to the stage to share their love of music in Sesame Street Live, “Elmo Makes Music.” Jenny, an enthusiastic new music teacher, arrives on Sesame Street only to discover that her instruments are missing. Jenny’s new Muppet friends quickly come to the rescue and discover “instruments” they never knew existed . . . rubber duckies, trash can lids and even cookie jars.
