Orchid
Bronze sculpture
$3,800

Lynn Creighton is a ceramic sculptor who has studied shamanism and led Native American purification lodges and vision quests for many years. These parallel journeys to knowledge have created the opening for an understanding of the celebration of feminine energy through form and ceremony. Orchid is part of a large body of work (more than 100 different forms) that speaks to the issue of women celebrating their own energy. Creighton runs the ceramic program at California Lutheran University and has a studio in Ventura. To see this piece and others, visit her at Studio 1317, 1317 Ventura Ave. (818) 554-9819 or  www.studio1317.com.
