Powered paragliders caught the attention of visitors on the promenade and beach in Ventura on Sunday.
Mike Jones of Ventura caught a record-breaking trout, weighing in at 11 pounds, 13 ounces, at Lake Casitas last week.
He is pictured here with Rob Weinerth, Park Services officer, on the right. Jones’ trout was one of four record-breaking catches in the last month, all surpassing the old 1985 record trout, which weighed 9 pounds, 4 ounces. Park services managers for the lake bought and stocked the large trout to lure fishermen to the area.
