On Friday, Sept. 7, at 7 p.m. Dave Mason’s All-Star Jam will perform at Ojai’s Libbey Bowl to raise funds for the cozy outdoor venue. The band will feature Eric Burdon (The Animals), Tom Scott, Stuart Hamm (Vai, Satriani), Billy Valentine, Brian Nova and other studio and performing legends. $25. www.libbeybowl.org.
 
 
 

A benefit for the Lupus Foundation will be held at Bombay Bar and Grill on Friday, Sept. 7 with music by Joey Peate and Flashman, Cirque Noir, Spivey & the Sugar Tail Feathers and The Thumpers.

2012 ALOHA BEACH FESTIVAL Saturday, Sept. 8 and Sunday, Sept. 9. The festival will feature freestyle frisbee and K9 frisbee competitions as well as outrigger canoe competitions and 2 days of live music at the Surf Rodeo Stage and the Aloha Stage. The festival’s beneficiary will be the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation. Local bands Dirty Rice, Jackass, Ska Daddyz and Reggae Soul Jah, are among those who will be performing.
