45 SECONDS FROM BROADWAY Jan. 11 through Feb. 2. Conejo Players, Ventura County’s oldest theater company, presents the Neil Simon comedy about theatergoers and other customers of a coffee shop on Broadway. The eclectic/eccentric cast of characters includes a comedian similar to Jackie Mason, a snooty society woman and her almost-mute husband, a Broadway ingenue and a playwright. Be prepared to laugh at Simon’s usual fast-paced repartee, but the story turns more serious in the second act, $16-$18. 351 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. 495-3715 or www.conejoplayers.com.
