Milly has come a long way since being seized, as a puppy, from a dog breeding/fighting ring in the highly publicized El Rio raid a few years ago. She no longer fears people and instead has become outgoing and loving, yet she still waits day after day for a permanent home. Milly is bright, beautiful, friendly and gentle, and will make a great addition to a family that does not already have a dog.
Milly can be seen by calling the Canine Adoption and Rescue League (C.A.R.L.) at 644-7387 to schedule a meet and greet at the sanctuary in Santa Paula, or the adoption center in Ventura. C.A.R.L. also has regular viewing hours for select dogs from noon to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday at Sam’s Place Adoption Center, located behind Ventura Pet Barn at 3203 E. Main St.
Pause for Paws is a spotlight in the VCReporter showcasing animals up for adoption at SPARC and C.A.R.L. and will be featured periodically in print and regularly online.
