At noon on Monday, April 23, the Ventura Police Department received a call from the Ventura County Medical Center reporting that a stabbing victim had arrived at the emergency room to receive treatment.
The 49-year-old victim was suffering from nonlife-threatening injuries to his arm and upper torso.
Ventura police contacted the victim, who said that at noon that day, as he sat in the parking lot at Oak and Santa Clara streets in downtown Ventura, he was approached by four Hispanic males. An argument began between the victim and the suspects during which time one of the suspects stabbed him with a knife, after which the suspects fled on foot.
Officers were unable to locate any suspects at the crime scene.
