Garden of Innocence by the Sea is holding a full memorial service in the newly renovated section of Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura, for an abandoned baby — to be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 10 a.m. The community is invited and volunteers/donations are welcome.
Garden of Innocence By the Sea is holding a memorial service for Baby Pamela Sarah on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Pamela Sarah has a new name, a handmade carved urn, poem (written just for her), her own new Beanie Baby, carved headstone, flowers and quilt. There will be a full color guard display by The of Knights of Columbus, a personalized non-denominational service by a local church Pastor (TBD), music, and release of doves.
Prior to this these babies were discarded in pauper’s graves and forgotten about. They died without another human being caring about them. The community is encouraged to come to memorialize these tiny humans who otherwise have no one: we will form a line and each participant can touch the urn while passing it to the next person. Please come, volunteer if you can and give money if you are able. This is a FREE outdoor event, fully funded by private donations and volunteers. GOI has buried approximately 350 abandoned babies in California since 1999.
