The Museum of Ventura County and the Ventura Film Society will co-present the Museum Matinee Series, a monthly film experience that will kick-off with a series of three films related to the Museum’s current exhibit, At Table: The Business of Food and Community. The first matinee will take place at 1 p.m., Sept. 23, and will feature City of Gold, a documentary about Pulitzer Prize-winning, Los Angeles food critic, Jonathan Gold. The October matinee, scheduled for Oct. 14, will feature the film Chef and the November matinee will serve up Tortilla Soup on Nov. 11.
Matinees will be held at the Museum’s Smith Pavilion, 100 E. Main Street, Ventura, with tickets available at $5 for members (both Museum members and Film Society members) and $10 for non-members.
