River, 3, terrier/Staffordshire bull mix
River was rescued from Devore Animal Shelter in February in the hope that he would meet his forever family. He loves people, kids and dogs. He loves to play fetch, and tennis balls are his favorite toys.
River can be seen at the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center at 705 E. Santa Barbara St. in Santa Paula. For more information, call 525-8609. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Mary is looking for a foster or forever home. She is a stealth heart stealer who comes in under the radar, but before you know it, you’re in love with this 55-pound bundle of cuddles. She’s a very balanced dog, who is gentle and good with other dogs her size. She walks well on a leash and loves meeting everyone. She’s a happy, medium-energy girl who would fit right into a family with children and other dogs. She is spayed, microchipped and up-to-date with shots.
